Tarom Safe Travel Review
For passenger safety, TAROM has implemented new travel policies during COVID-19.
All TAROM aircraft are disinfected between each flight. The disinfection process maximizes safety via 4 steps:
- fixed disinfection (spray);
- cleaning;
- steam vapor / aerosol disinfection;
- Nebulizing (done at night after daily operations conclude).
Every TAROM aircraft contains both surface disinfectants and hand sanitizers.
During flights TAROM crew wear masks and gloves and maintain physical distance for passenger and crew safety.

TAROM cabin crew use sanitizers frequently, including after contact with shared or high-touch surfaces.
TAROM has removed all printed materials on board its aircraft, such as magazines and newspapers. Safety instruction cards remain.
In-flight catering has been suspended, but the airline offers still water on passenger request.
Check-in counters have plexiglass protection panels for safety in interacting with TAROM airport employees.
Social distancing signage encourage travelers to remain 1 meter apart from one another and check-in counters. For passenger safety, TAROM recommends passengers remain seated on board the aircraft to limit interactions on board. For passengers safety, protection measures and policies are announced during the flight by TAROM cabin crew.
