What's it like to fly Royal Air Maroc right now?
Royal Air Maroc, also known as RAM, is owned by Morocco’s government. Royal Air Maroc joined the Oneworld alliance in April 2020.
The airline has expanded its safety and health protocols in response to COVID-19.
On board, Royal Air Maroc has increased cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces including armrests, in-flight entertainment screens, carpets, and seat-back pockets.
RAM’s disinfection uses approved virus-killing disinfection products.
To purify the air inside the aircraft, RAM uses HEPA filters, like nearly all commercial airlines, which purifies cabin air every three minutes with recirculation standards similar to those in hospital operating rooms.

Royal Air Maroc safety policy requires passengers and flight crew wear face coverings throughout the flight. The airline notes that masks must be replaced every four hours.
Further, Royal Air Maroc offers antibacterial towels upon boarding and screens the temperature of all passengers before entering the aircraft.

RAM has suspended / removed its inflight magazine and the distribution of newspapers and other publications. Checking coats and jackets on board is also temporarily suspended.
Royal Air Maroc mandates social distancing rules be followed during boarding and deplaning.
The airline limits hand (carry-on) luggage to handbags, children’s bags, and laptop computers.
Updated Flight Schedules & Entry into Morocco
The airline normally flies to 90+ destinations, the vast majority of which are international. RAM’s international routes include other African countries, Asian gateway cities, Europe, and the Americas.
Since the onset of COVID-19, the airline has reduced flights to only fly domestically within Morocco.
The Moroccan authorities’ recent decisions regarding COVID-19 and public health has allowed Royal Air Maroc to provide access to its flights to nationals from visa-exempt countries who are either citizens of Morocco (and their families) or foreigners residing in Morocco (and their families).
Business travelers / professionals from visa-exempt countries may visit a Moroccan companies provided they have an invitation letter from the inviting firm. The invitation letter is required to be signed and sealed by someone with authority at the inviting Moroccan company, describing the purpose of the visit, names and passport numbers of the invited party with details about entry date into Morocco and where they will stay during their visit.
Additionally, citizens of countries not requiring a visa for entry into Morocco that have a confirmed reservation at a Moroccan hotel may enter Morocco by presenting their reservation confirmation.
Royal Air Maroc continues to fly special international flights but you need to be eligible to book and board. Eligible travelers include:
1) passengers leaving the Moroccan territory, including Moroccan citizens living overseas; foreign residents or non-residents in Morocco, Moroccan students attending schools abroad, and businesspeople.
2) passengers entering Morocco, including Moroccan citizens (tourists, students, Moroccans living overseas) and foreigners living in Morocco.
Passengers entering Morocco must show a negative COVID-19 PCR (within 48 hours of arrive) test in addition to a recent serological test.
